At the initial consultation, you will be asked for details of your medical history – illnesses, past injuries, allergies etc. If you are taking any medication or supplements you should bring these with you. This will be followed by muscle testing and evaluation.
Patients lie fully clothed on a couch while, using gentle pressure - usually on an arm, the practitioner tests the resistance of one or more muscles. Where an imbalance is detected in the body the practitioner will focus on the more effective treatment to restore optimum health. Usually clients find the treatment very relaxing.
How many visits are needed?
This depends on your condition, how long you have been suffering with it, and how committed you are to working with your kinesiologist to take responsibility for your health.
Clients usually feel a positive effect after the first session and as a general rule 3 to 6 sessions of kinesiology should see a real and lasting improvement in your condition, overall vitality and wellbeing. After that time it is recommended that you have routine balances two or three times a year.
Kinesiology can be used as a ‘pick-me-up’ and or a preventative measure to ensure health problems are not allowed to develop.
How much does kinesiology cost?
An initial consultation lasts approximately 90 minutes at a cost of £30.00 with subsequent sessions lasting approximately 60 minutes at £25:00.
Can I have kinesiology treatments if I am taking medication prescribed by my doctor?
Yes. As kinesiology is a complementary therapy, it will work in conjunction with the treatment or medication you are receiving from your doctor.
