Kinesiology was developed by Dr George Goodheart in the 1960s. Through his research he was able to develop a system combining Western Medical Techniques with knowledge drawn from the Chinese and Eastern health systems.
John Thie adapted Goodheart's work and, based on this, developed the Touch For Health System for the lay person. Since then several individuals have gone on to develop their own interpretation of Goodheart’s work and many other forms of Kinesiology have resulted from this. Classical Kinesiology is firmly rooted in Applied Kinesiology and uses the same basic techniques but with many additional methods.
